NYMAG's Heather Simco Shines at Mrs Globe!

Heather Simco competed at the Mrs Globe Pageant in Palm Springs California last week and took home numerous awards. Heather retained her New York title and will be next year's Mrs New York 2012, she was 1st runner-up for Mrs N America, winner of the Mrs Globe Life Leadership and Mentor of the Year Awards; both fitting titles as one of NYMAG's Children's Instructors.

Most importantly, Heather lost a total of 80 lbs, 30 of which were lost in preparation for the Mrs Globe Pageant over the past six months. Aside from some cardio on the elliptical machine, Heather prepares for the swimsuit competition primary at NYMAG training in Muay Thai Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu at NYMAG in Dutchess County.

This year's Mrs Globe Pageant was a star-studded event with competitors for all over the world and Gretchen Rossi from Housewives of OC acting as announcer and presenting awards.

Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Students from NYMAG MMA Gym in the Poughkeepsie Area of the Hudson Valley, NY represented their school with an outstanding list of victories this weekend at NAGA in New Jersey. Every student who competed at this weekend's tournament brought home a medal. NYMAG's Diego Gonzalez and Lilly Kantarakias both brought home two Gold medals - one in Gi Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and another in the No Gi Submission Grappling divisions. Andy Marrero brought home gold Wappingers Falls resident, Iriwn Rivera took home a medal despite being injured in the competition.
