In the general technique sections by category, our videos will play in a Pop-Up window via streaming video. Most of these videos are Windows Media Files, so Mac Users will have to visit This Page to download the free Windows software that will enable you to see these videos.
The Videos below the streaming category are Downloadable and are usually presented in two versions: one as a Quicktime File that can be viewed on your Mac or iPod (or other portable device), the other will be a Large HD file that can be viewed on your HDTV or PC - please note however, that this file is large and without a fast enough computer, this download may look jittery.
Notes on Video Downloads:
Video Downloads
Each week, a new video will be made available in the Video Downloads Section for download on your PC, iPod or other portable device.
In order to keep user costs low, we will be making one download available per week; This enables us to make downloads available to you at no additional cost.
Files will (for the most part) be made available as a Quicktime file. If you are using a PC, this software can be easily obtained if it didn't already come with your computer.
For Mac Users, this format will be the easiest to use for computer use and for import to your iPod. Simply save the file, then if you are using Quictime pro, you can simply drag it to your iPod or introduce to iTunes. If you aren't doing this with QuickTime Pro, you can add the original video to iTunes and then select "Convert Selection to iPod" from the "Advanced" menu.
High Definition Video Downloads
We currently make an HD video download available. These videos are HD (1440x1080) and will play on the most recent version of windows media player. For users without the capacity for large files, mac users and ipod users, a smaller Quicktime file is made available.
Because of the size of these videos – storage and bandwidth is an issue – therefore, one technique will be made available at a time and remain posted for a week. We do this so that we can include this service with regular eTraining instead of charging extra for the ability to download such large files that can be viewed on both your PC and HDTV.
These videos are for personal use only and are should not be distributed or uploaded to any website without permission. eTraining members who see these videos on any website for viewing or for sale should report misuse immediately to this site. Copyright infringement is illegal and abusers will be prosecuted.
