General Board Rules:

Welcome to JIU-JITSU.NETs discussion forums.

If you are a Newbie and are looking for help or information, we have a FAQ section where the most commonly asked questions are answered for you - http://www.jiu-jitsu.net/faq.shtml. There will also be a section where you can post your question or send it directly to us.

In the mean-time, Newbies should use the eTraining forums below to ask questions.

These forums are not for the sensitive viewer; the Off Topic area is for adults only and expect the forums to have some strong language at times. This is a byproduct of any armchair conversation and generally accepted in any sport or activity involving too much testosterone.

If you are a serious “Martial Artist” looking for advice, once again, we will have a FAQ board up where you can search for your topic without the fear of being picked on.

General Rules:

- These forums are for the discussion of Martial Arts; JIU-JITSU.NET does not advocate the use of Jiu-jitsu or any other martial art to harm or threaten others.
· All insults that are not clearly in jest or made between members who are friends will be deleted.
· Solicitors will be deleted at the moderator’s discretion
· Use common sense when posting and don’t cry if your post gets deleted. Try to think first.
· Don’t put yourself out there and complain if you do get ‘flamed’. You were warned.
· JIU-JITSU.NET is not responsible for any wounded egos or deaths that may occur as a result of following the advice of a faceless random poster.
· If you have a customer service issue, please eamil steves@tunedinweb.com

Our moderators are all highly accredited with more than an adequate amount of evidence to back that up, if you come here as competition to hurt their business, it will naturally be deleted and you will be banned.

TIP: Realize that anyone can say anything here without the normal consequences involved with doing it in person. We try to weed them out, but nothing is perfect. Just remember that if people have the time to spend hours engaging is senseless banter, they aren’t training ;-)

Please Read:
Disclaimer: Some views expressed on this forum may not be obvious as humor. Jiu-jitsu.net is not responsible for any deaths or injuries that may occur as a result of following exactly every piece of advice presented here by its moderators.

Quick FAQ:

How do I find the techniques I want to see?

All of the techniques in this forum are Alphabetically listed under main categories, based on position. Within the Online classes forum, each position is listed alphabetically, then there are techniques from that position. In the individual techniques forums, they are first categorized from the position, then under that positional category, you can find the moves you are looking for within, arranged in alphabetical order.

How to I view the Techniques?

Simply click on the link(s) that you want to see and the video should appear in a pop-up window at the top left of your browser. If you do not have a good Internet connection, it may take longer to load. If it does not or there are problems, please report them to board_admin@jiu-jitsu.net.

Are these moves good for MMA, No Gi or just Gi?

Many of the moves you see here are demonstrated with the gi on - however, the fundamental movements in most cases are the same, unless, of course, the move is gi specific - which, in most cases, it will be listed as such. Most of the techniques presented here can be done with or without the gi - such as a triangle choke, omoplata, rear choke or armbar. If a move is gi specific or it is addressing a situation where punches are involved, then it will be listed that way. In addition, the instruction within the videos will usually elaborate on what situation the move is being used for and what changes should be made.

Video Quality

The video quality here is slightly reduced from what you would see on the DVD sold at this site so that they can be seen in a reasonable amount of time over the internet. Videos listed as *Video have been reduced in quality more drastically than videos listed as *HD Video. While still not at true HD DVD quality, the HD Videos are all filmed with a High Definition (1080) camera and are of better quality than typical Internet video.

Forum Pages

Be sure to look at the number in the top right corner of each forum once you are in - each forum has additional pages where more techniques can be found.

Mac Users
